Carmel's founding fathers decided not to give residents street addresses, which mean homeowners had to pick up their mail in person." Annee Martin, owner of Ami Carmel. "So (in similar way), we have our residents pass by our store every day with dogs who know there's a treat waiting for them inside. We are part of the daily fabric of the community, and I couldn't be happier. "Every item in the shop tells a story, is ethically made and represents a maker's vision.
